Type Locality and Naming

Stratotype in the Lung Hoai – Sa Tao section (Cao Bang Province) = same section as the overlying Na Dang Fm; named by Vasilevskaia E.D. in Dovzhikov et al (1965).


Lithology and Thickness

Stratotype has 250 m of thick-bedded to massive fine-grained limestone (1) Light-grey; 130 m; the coral Cladopora sp. and brachiopod Stringocephalus. (2) Dark-grey, 50 m. (3) Light-grey, 70 m.
